The Medal Of Honor is the highest U.S military’s highest decoration. March 25th every year is designated MEDAL OF HONOR DAY. In celebration of this day the Military History Center of the Carolinas located at 14 Airport Rd. at the downtown airport, invites you to the unveiling of the museum’s newest exhibit highlighting a MOH. The MHCC will be open from 12 noon until 3PM. At 1pm a brief history of the MOH will be presented.
Only 2,526 medals have been presented out of 40,000,000 service members since the medal’s conception under President Lincoln in 1861. That is 0.00006315%. Today there are only 61 living recipients.
